Rajasthan to Begin Night Tourism from November

With a constant increase in the influx of foreign as well as national tourists in Jaipur, the need of night tourism in the city was felt by the travel industry of Jaipur long time back. Now, as the government has approved the need, it has planned to launch Night Tourism in Jaipur and some other cities of Rajasthan.

The monuments of Jaipur which get closed by 6 pm in the evening will remain open till 11 pm in the night from November. And to adhere to the guideline of November, state government has already started installing flood lights on the monuments. Along with this, 35 forts in the city have been chosen for renovation and the work will be given on lease or joint venture to private sector enterprises. Rajasthan travel department also has plans to handicrafts, birding and spiritual segments of the state. It therefore wishes to bring in handicraft circuit revolving around Rajasthan’s villages, birding circuit that will focus on Keoladeo National Park and spiritual circuit that will centre around the famous temples of Rajasthan. Further, the Rajasthan Government will also bring in changes in tourism policy that will focus on hotel conversion and easy land availability.
