Goa to Attain Internal Passengers Cruise Services Soon

Goa is about to launch internal passengers’ cruise services operating within its territory, Nitin Gadkari, Union minister of shipping, road transport and highways has recently announced. Once the state government approves the latest proposal of the Union Ministry, the service will gradually become operational. The union government has also agreed to invest money in the development of inland waterways.

Mr. Gadkari pointed out that the ministry wants to encourage ship building and breaking business in India. According to him Goa has the potential to be into this business. This will help to encourage cruise tourism in the state, which witnesses thousands of foreign tourists every year.
