The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) has tied up with Uttar Pradesh Government to promote tourism in UP. As a part of promoting state tourism, O.P. Singh, Minister of Tourism, Uttar Pradesh government, has formally launched the UP Travel Mart (UPTM) 2015, which is scheduled be held from February 22-24, 2015 in Lucknow.
Uttar Pradesh is the home to several important tourist attractions like the Taj Mahal and Sarnath. Also, within India, Uttar Pradesh receives a high inflow of foreign tourists mainly because of Taj Mahal. Therefore, to promote tourism in UP at a massive scale and reach to global standards, the state requires funding support from the central government.
