India to Capture Australia for Wildlife Tourism

With time and the country’s unique offerings, India is turning out to be one of the fastest growing countries in wildlife and international tourism. With a significant growth of 15-20% over the recent years, wildlife tourism has turned out to be a preferred choice among every kind of traveler.

A special evening in Sydney was hosted by Sandip Hor, Chairman of Australian India Travel and Tourism Council (AITTC) along with Reena Tory, founder of boutique travel company Mantra Wild Adventures with an aim to showcase wildlife tourism in India. Indian wildlife like one- horned rhinos, Royal Bengal Tigers and Indian elephants coupled with exquisite setting make India a perfect destination to fetch in more visitors from Australia for wildlife tourism.

Now Air India offers direct flight between Australia and India apart from several domestic airlines connecting every corner of India. Also, road infrastructure and increased accommodation facilities at all national parks have significantly contributed towards the growth of tourism in Indian wildlife sanctuaries. Wildlife tourism represents an opportunity for AITTC to aid growth in tourism between India and Australia. The collaboration hopes to increase the number of Australians traveling to India and promote Indian wildlife tourism in the country.
