Lifetime Indian visa for PIO cardholders, says Narendra Modi

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi made an exclusive announcement for NRI’s that Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) cardholders will not be permitted to avail lifetime Indian visa. On the other hand, American tourists will be given on- arrival visa for their stay in India. Mr. Modi announced that PIO card holders living in India for a long time will no more have to report to local police stations. Also, he has assured that India as a country will move rapidly and be a leader of the 21st century globalized world.

The announcement was made by the Indian Prime Minister at an event in Manhattan, USA, which was attended by around 20, 000 NRIs.
